Currently the best method I’ve got is too use Newrelic’s RPM service.
For development mode it is free, for production mode there are several packages starting from $65/month.
The service it is some kind of best of breed compilation of all existing Ruby and Rails performance plugins into one single plugin which offers all the metrics in all details a developer might need.
